Everything happens for a reason....

The people who have Bryce love him! He is kind of testing the kid but the trainer is all fine and dandy with it because she believes in kids actually learning to ride these days (shocking, I know!). They took him to a little local show last weekend and he was Reserve Champion! It makes me so happy. I am working on getting his green status reinstated because the kid isn't ready to jump right into the Larges. I think that would be only thing that could stop them from purchasing him at the end of the lease....I should know in the next few days.

In the mean time, while B is being leased, I won't have too many updates for this blog so I am starting a new one (as soon as I set it up I will post the link). My life has taken a GINORMOUS turn...I was supposed to start Cosmetology school the second week of August. I was all excited but the closer it got, the more jobs started popping up and the less I wanted to go. I debated and debated and talked and talked and decided that I would drop out and go into horses. I started grooming and riding almost full time and was afraid when I started school full time, I wouldn't have time to ride anymore. I went to Kentucky to groom the week before pony finals and got to visit my Nana. As soon as I got there the first thing she said was, "Quit wasting your dad's money, we all know you will just drop out". That was it..I knew I couldn't go.
A week after I decided 100% that I would not be attending Cosmetology school, I got a call from a girl who worked at some barn called North Run. She left a message saying Michelle Zimmer (my old trainer from when I went to UK) gave them my number and they needed someone to come to the Hampton Classic ASAP. J quickly informed me North Run was Missy Clark..one of the TOP equitation trainers in the country. I played phone tag a few times with the girl and next thing you know she said they would fly me up to the Hamptons and I could stay forever but I just needed to be there by Monday. MONDAY!!! Monday was two days away....I was also already out of town in South Ga at a show with J.

So....I called Colton, my dad, and talked to Julie for a long while and decided to go. I just couldn't turn this opportunity down. So here I am currently living in Vermont, slightly homeless, traveling around to all the top horse shows and working for one of the most well-known equitation trainers.  In two days, I left everything I've ever known.....

Things really do happen for a reason....and my Nana was right- I would have dropped out of school.
